Questions We Get a Lot
A traditional wood pergola like our cedar builds gives you that timeless open-beam look with natural shade and serious curb appeal. A louvered pergola goes further — the adjustable roof lets you dial in exactly how much sun or airflow you want, and the integrated drainage system means rain is never a reason to go inside. It really comes down to how much control you want over your outdoor environment.
Most of our pergola kits are designed for confident DIYers — they ship with the hardware and ground anchors or metal stakes needed to get started. That said, we always recommend having a second set of hands for lifting the beams and setting the frame. If you prefer professional installation, a local handyman or deck contractor can typically handle it in a day.
Our cedar pergola kits are snow and wind rated, meaning the frame and connection points are engineered with those loads in mind — not just good weather. The aluminum-framed and hardtop options add another layer of durability with reinforced frames built for year-round use. Choosing the right anchor system and following the installation guidelines are the two biggest factors in long-term performance.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery — if something arrives damaged or doesn't work for your space, reach out to our team and we'll walk you through the return process per our Return Policy. Large structure items like pergolas may have specific return instructions, so getting in touch early makes the process smoother. Free Shipping applies to most orders within the Continental U.S., excluding AK/HI.
About Our Pergolas
At Sanctum Scapes, our pergola collection is built around one idea: your backyard should feel like a destination. Whether you're drawn to the warmth of all-cedar construction in our 10x10 and 12x16 wood pergola kits — complete with metal stakes and snow and wind ratings — or you want the precision of a louvered aluminum pergola with an adjustable roof and integrated drainage system, there's a structure here designed for the way you actually use your outdoor space. Cedar brings natural beauty and proven durability. Reinforced aluminum frames add modern lines and low-maintenance performance. Hardtop options bridge the gap between pergola and full shelter, giving you a covered patio that works in every season. These aren't decorative pieces — they're the backbone of an outdoor room built for gathering, unwinding, and making the most of the time you spend outside.
